What you're actually buying

You are purchasing a share of a live animal, not retail beef. Your price buys your undivided share of a specific animal in our herd, priced per pound of hanging weight.

Once that animal is yours, you work directly with the processor to tell them how you want your beef cut and wrapped. The processor bills you separately for harvest and custom cutting, estimated at $1.65 per pound.

Beef from a custom-exempt harvest is for the owners' personal use and is not for resale.
